Upon its debut in the mid-1950s, the Gibson Country Western brought a touch of elegance to the flat-top acoustic lineup with its natural finish and refined appointments. This round-shouldered 1957 Country Western, built before the shift to a square-shoulder design in the 60s, is an outstanding example of Gibson’s natural-finished dreadnought from the Golden Era of acoustic production. This guitar is in very clean condition with light nicks, dings, and checking throughout, and it has a great neck angle with a big, chunky feel.

The binding has been reglued at the pickguard, and the bridge was most likely reglued at some point. The original tuners remain with the guitar but have shrunken and become brittle; a set of aged Kluson® Deluxe single-line white button tuners is currently installed. The guitar ships with a Lifton® Historic brown and pink hardshell case.
